Organic midcentury modern stoneware tray / bowl designed by Carl-Harry Stålhane for Rörstrand. Hand thrown in Sweden in the 1950’s and finished in a beautiful ivory harefur glaze. 


Incised R for Rörstrand and three crowns with initials of artist CHS. Also incised with model number SAH.

Very good vintage condition. Insignificant signs of wear/use consistent with age. No chips, cracks or crazing.


Carl-Harry Stålhane  (1920-1990) was a Swedish potter, designer, sculptor and painter. He is considered one of the most illustrious Swedish ceramic artists of the 20th century. Stålhane’s career started at Rörstrand from 1939 until 1973. After a long and successful career working at Rörstrand, Stålhane started his own studio Designhuset in 1973. He is represented in several museums around the world.
